Description: The Service Auction is a wonderful evening in which you can enjoy food and fellowship and bid on an intriguing array of items in both the silent auction and the live auction. Campouts
Description: Camping with First Universalist offers participants the benefits of camping in Colorado's beautiful surroundings with other individuals who also value the outdoor experience. Freed from the hassle of coordinating individual reservations, one of the great beauties of camping with First Universalist Church is that campers may make a last minute choice to visit for the day or stay over night. This is a great opportunity that allows members of our community to get to know each other in a less formal setting.

December Holiday Party and Concert
Description: This holiday celebration is held on the second Sunday of December. Please bring an appetizer or a dessert to share with others and enjoy some steaming wassail to chase away the winter cold. John Hubert coordinates the concert. Musicians of all ages are invited to participate.

Flowers Sale
Description: The spring plant sale coincides with Mother’s Day and includes hanging baskets and bedding plants. Orders are taken from church members and friends and submitted to a grower who delivers the order the week of Mother’s Day. A plant sale which is open to the public is held the Saturday before Mother’s Day. An array of volunteers needed to assist with the public plant sale.

Description: The members of this committee assist church members in times of need. A call to the church office from a member or friend enables this group to provide a helping hand. Description: This is a wonderful way for families, individuals, and couples to share camaraderie, casseroles and community. The dinners are held in members' homes on the second Saturday of each month at about 4:30 pm. This intergenerational buffet style potluck is a way for all ages to get together to socialize in an enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere.

Sip 'n Sup Potluck Dinners
Description: This is a series of eight monthly potluck dinners for 8 to 18 people (depending on the number that the host can accommodate). The dinners are held on the first Saturday of the month at host homes, October through May. The host sets the menu and asks participants to bring a specific dish to share (e.g. appetizer, salad, side dishes, dessert, wine, entrée, etc.). The host also sets the time for the dinner, which usually starts around 6:00 pm. The groupings each month are different, which makes this a good mixer. Participants include singles and couples. It is expected that a participant will host at least once.

What a Wednesday Dinners
Description: “WAW!” dinners are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month, beginning the 4th Wednesday in September and continuing through May. Meals are catered by ethnic restaurants or prepared by our Hospitality Committee. Dinner begins at 6:30 pm and concludes by 7:30 pm. Attendees are asked to RSVP. The cost of the dinner is $8 for adults and youth 13 and older, children 4 to 12 is $3. Newborns to 3 are free.

Description: The Board of Trustees is elected by the congregation at a congregational meeting in the spring. There are nine members on the Board, each of whom is elected for three years. The Moderator and Secretary for the coming year are elected by the Board to a one year term prior to the congregational meeting where new trustees are elected. The Board meets on the third Monday of the month at 7:00 pm.

Description: The Committee on Ministry has six lay members. The professional ministers are ex officio (nonvoting) members. Description: The Art Committee organizes art shows several times a year in Friendship Hall. They choose the artists, assist in displaying the art, provide publicity through church publications, and raise money for the church from the 20% commission that the church receives on all works sold during the exhibit.

Building and Grounds Committee
Description: This Committee meets monthly to coordinate work that needs to be done on our building and the grounds surrounding it. Members of the committee do some of the actual physical work, obtain bids for larger jobs (e.g., the parking lot, sidewalk repair), and coordinate a work day once or twice a year. The committee also works closely with companies who provide ongoing services to the church (e.g., landscaping, snow removal, etc.)
