Adult Education
We teach and learn from each other, from the youngest to the oldest among us. We encourage, support and nourish each other on our personal paths to understanding.
Adult Education supports the mission of First Universalist Church by promoting growth and transformation through experiences designed for spiritual, faith, religious, and intellectual exploration, connection, and renewal. Program offerings are coordinated by the Adult Education Committee and supported by the Lifespan Learning Council. Classes, workshops, retreats, lectures, small groups, discussion groups, and other programs are led by congregation members, ministers, staff, or, occasionally, outside experts. Programs are offered in both daytime and evening hours, and vary in length from single session to multi–week events.

Spiritual Small Groups
Small groups are a great place to get to know other people in our church community and to explore your spirituality. Groups of 6 to 8 meet regularly (on zoom at this time, in person in the future). The range of topics for discussion vary and several curricula are available and will be determined by each group. The conversation is respectful and caring and enhances our understanding of self and others. Each session is facilitated by a trained member of the congregation.
- All participants have the opportunity to share their perspectives, tell their stories, and listen deeply.
- The time together is structured: Groups begin and end with centering readings and often include times for quiet reflection as well as sharing.
- Some small groups also choose to put their faith into action through service projects.
